2.2.6. Email Settings

This page controls the email functionality of IPCop. IPCop is able to send you emails in specific situations or events, for example if a monitored traffic volume is exceeded.

After making any changes, remember to press the Save button.

Email server Enter the address of your email server here. For example: smtp.example.net

Use TLS Use Transport Layer Security, if supported by your email server. Options are Automatic (default), Yes or No.

Email server port - optional If your email server uses a non-standard port for connections, enter it here. Otherwise leave it blank.

Username - optional If your email server requires a username for the email account, enter it here. Otherwise leave it blank.

Password - optional If your email server requires a password for the email account, enter it here. Otherwise leave it blank. Note that using space characters or single or double quotes (' ") in the password will cause an error.

From email address Enter the email address that will be sending emails. It will appear as the “From” email address when you receive emails from IPCop.

To email address Enter your email address, or the email address you want messages to be sent to, in this field.

It is possible to send an email to multiple addresses. Enter the addresses in the field, separated by spaces.

Send test email Send an email to check if IPCop is able to send emails with the given settings.

You need to Save the settings first, before trying to send a test email.
