IPCop Donations

English Deutsch Français

The IPCop project has decided to not accept monetary donations. We would need to form some kind of foundation in one locale to accept the money. This foundation would need to maintain a set of books and it would have to pay taxes in the country it was registered in. This is too much work for the small amount of donations we're expecting.

How to help

So, how can you help? In specific order:
  1. Please, donate code, specific features, patches, etc. This is what we need most of all, good and functional code. If you want an idea of what to work on, contact the developers on the ipcop-devel@lists.sourceforge.net list.
  2. If you cannot donate code, donate time from your own developers to work under our guidance.
  3. If you do not have the skills inhouse to add code, you can pay one of IPCop's developers. We have people on the project who run their own company and they can afford to spend a lot more time on IPCop when getting paid to do so. The IPCop project itsself will not be involved in any financial transactions, so you deal directly with the developer or his/her company.
  4. Donate hardware to the developers. We often need specific hardware to do testing or compiling for IPCop. Below is a list of hardware that developers have requested. Please contact the developer. Donations should be marked as gift to avoid the developer having to pay any duties to customs. Again, the IPCop project is not involved in the transaction.
